A lot of people decide to start their own blogs, but few actually take it all the way through to the end and launch their websites. If you are considering adding news articles to your website, there are several factors to consider before making this decision. The following guide will help you make that decision, plus give you some tips on how to add news articles to your site, should you decide that’s what you want to do.

Step 1: Find and Subscribe to a Service

There are several news aggregator services on the web. Subscribe to one of these services. Some sites that you can use include Fester, Google News, and RSSBandit. Make sure that you choose a service that fits your website’s content and readership type. If you run a technology or gaming site, for instance, Fester might not be appropriate as it focuses on mainstream media news from newspapers and magazines rather than technology- or game-related information.

Step 2: Choose What You Want

The first thing you need to do is decide what type of news articles you want your website to have. In general, most websites choose three different types of news articles: Local, National, and International. No matter what choice you make, we recommend choosing a minimum of two so that you can rotate them over time and keep your visitors interested.

You should also try not to overwhelm people with too many choices since it will cause them not to want to visit your website anymore (unlikely though that may be).

Step 3: Get WordPress Ready

Now that you have completed your post, it is time to upload it. If you want only one news story in each of your posts, go back and delete any additional subheadings. If you are keeping them, repeat Step 3 with each additional subheading. Step 5: Create XML Sitemap: Click on Set up and Optimize again and scroll down until you find XML Sitemap; click on the XML sitemap tab, then check to Create an XML Sitemap at the left sidebar under Link Building Tools section (See image) then click create now button below it.

Step 4: Create New Template and Upload Files

Now that we have our content all set let’s go ahead and create a new template. Inside WordPress, navigate to Appearances > Theme Options and click on Save a Copy. Give your template a unique name; in my case, it was simply called New Article Post Type. Once you click Save, you will be prompted with an option to download your theme options, so be sure to do that and save it for later because we are going to need these settings. Next, we are going over how to add our new news articles post type, as well as how we can turn any standard WordPress page into one of these posts inside WordPress!

Step 5: Create New Page in WordPress

Once you have posted your articles in different blogs, create a new page or subpage on your WordPress website. For example, if you are creating an About Us Page in WordPress, then add news as one of your categories. Thereafter create an individual post and select the news category under post types. In the above step, you can see how I added my category as news and created posts under it.

Step 6: Put the Code on Your Site

To add news articles to your website, follow these easy steps: 1. Create an account with Google News. 2. Next, sign in to Feed burner, a service by Google that lets you manage your feed and provides many useful stats (e.g., when someone reads one of your articles). 3. Click Edit on the left side of Feed burner (your feed URL will be in the upper right corner of the page) and then choose to Subscribe with a Different Name 4. Enter a name for your site and click OK 5. Copy your unique Feed burner URL address and paste it on Web pages on all web pages where you want news articles published 6. That’s it!

Step 7 (Optional): Get Creative with Icons and Images

Whether you’re putting up a new website, writing a newsletter, or simply sending out emails, having icon images in your content can be incredibly powerful. This is especially true when it comes to grabbing users’ attention and getting them engaged. As an example, let’s say you want someone to go check out your social media platforms.

You could add a simple Facebook logo or Twitter logo as an icon with text that says click here for Facebook or follow us on Twitter. To start, use something like Canva or another graphic designer site (even Paint will work) to create some eye-catching images.

Conclusion

So there you have it! It’s really quite simple. Now that you know how to add news articles let’s take a look at what makes for a good one and why people love them so much. News is something that everyone is interested in and always wants to be up-to-date on. People are naturally curious about current events and want to be informed of what is happening around them.

The news can also help you keep your website updated with fresh content and keep visitors coming back more often than they would otherwise if they had nothing new to see each time they visited your site. With all these benefits, news articles make an excellent addition to any website and can help build traffic as well as brand awareness of your business or organization among your target audience if done correctly.
